GENERAL AWARENESS AND BACKGROUND
Over the years, the production of food and beverages has transcended from locally and most often unhygienic venture to a more sanitary and tech-driven operation and management (Osipitan, 2020). Presently it is one of the top most relevant industries in many countries.
ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL RELEVANCE
Food and beverage industry has led to economic development, job creation, advancement of the society and contributed to the cultural and traditional diversity of nations. Economically, the food and beverage industry has led to the creaton of inclusive business models; here ther has been research done on how to grow and commercialize crops, transportation and processing of local foods, purchasing with guarantees, construction of distribution network and micro-business, and financing through loans. It has led to building human and physical capital; where training of farmers through agronomists and the promotion of other alternative financial sourcing, creation of rural banking systems and the provision of seeds, pesticides, fertilizers and insurance. Finally it has led to the improvement of enabling environment such as institutions and policies; where there has been development and enforcement of standards of production, creation of local programs and NGO’s for awareness and dissemination of sustainable practices, and the investment in educational materials for schools in the local areas (Pfitzer & Krishnaswamy, 2007).

According to Flanders Investment and Trade (2020) Nigeria has over 70.8 billion hectares worth of agricultural land, with 37 million ariable. But her food procession industry remains underdeveloped even with the potential of the market. In job creation, Norfund has investment in a number of Sundry Foods, that employ about 2000 staff, as of 2019 (Norfund, 2020).
RAW MATERIALS, PRODUCTS AND BY-PRODUCTS
The equipment’s used in manufacturing and in the process of packaging the food or beverage include bottling, mixing, filing machines and conveyor systems (Chron, 2020).
On the other hand machines used in manufacturing tobacco include; test station, smoking machine, linear smoking machines, vapping machines, modular smoking, rotary smoking machines, desktop instrument, tabletop instruments and general laboratory instruments such as; baudeson ovens, cigarette slitters, segment cutting devices, densimeters, vibroclassifiers, automatic rapid incinerators, free burning rate meters, denier meters for acetate tow and electronic precision and analytical balances (Business Tobacco Supplies, 2021).
