Global Raw Materials Day
- The Cities of Prince Albert and Saskatoon officially proclaimed September 18 as Raw Materials Day.
- CRMC and CaCeRMDI issued a Global Declaration of Raw Materials Day, establishing September 18 as a worldwide recognition of the social, economic, and environmental importance of raw materials.
ICERMs 2025 Overview
- Theme: Raw Materials Wealth: Exploring Canada’s Atlantic Region and Beyond
- Format: Week-long event including technical sessions, field visits, cultural programs, and Sustainability Acts.
- Focus: Highlighted advanced Canadian practices in agriculture, mining, geology, and energy, while fostering global partnerships.

- Site visits included:

- University of Saskatchewan Geology and Agriculture facilities

- CRMC President Leo Ekhaguere closed the conference highlighting cross-border collaboration and the importance of new leaders in raw materials.
Induction of New Associate Members (2025)
Over 36 professionals and raw materials enthusiasts were inducted to strengthen CRMC’s global network.

CRMC Associate Membership Conditions
Article I – Membership Status
- Granted to individuals inducted by CRMC
- Membership is conditional upon compliance with CRMC policies
Article II – Obligations of Associate Members
- Participate in at least one CRMC program or initiative annually
- Recognize Global Raw Materials Day (September 18)
- Promote sustainable practices in agricultural, mineral, and fossil raw materials
- Uphold CRMC values: collaboration, knowledge-sharing, innovation, stewardship
Article III – Engagement & Support
- Contribute to CRMC knowledge networks
- Optional financial or in-kind support
Article IV – Membership Fees
- Annual fee: $200 CAD
- Payment is required to maintain membership in good standing
- Non-payment may result in suspension of membership rights
Article V – Membership Renewal
- Annual review
- Confirmation of continued compliance required
- Non-compliance may lead to suspension or termination
